Anastacia has studied various mechanisms of making change since she was a child. Growing up in a multicultural and acutely political family, she was introduced to a multitude of ideas about the functioning of society. She has been committed to understanding the world through exploring it. Anastacia has traveled to close to 50 countries and enjoys being a cultural ambassador. Anastacia has worked in the non-profit sector for many years, supporting women in Central America through micro-loans and cross-cultural communication, education and creative expression in diverse populations in the US. As a part of the Denver Council on Foreign Relations, she established education for young professionals in Colorado to become more aware and engaged in international issues. Over the last decade Anastacia has been most interested in understanding each other better through the art of curiosity and communication. She has become a facilitator of Unitive Justice, a community dialogue process used to de-escalate conflict. All the while Anastacia has sought to cultivate an ongoing investigation into the nature and potency of the human spirit. She has been influenced by Kundalini yoga, Vipassana meditation and ecstatic dance. Anastacia hopes to develop the work in the book into a dance festival in Jordan bringing regional neighbors together. She is a proud mother of two daughters, Azaria who is in spirit and Izabela who is her greatest joy.
